Learn how to spice up your boring staircase with interactive LEDs to illuminate each step. As the video above demonstrates, the LED lights switch on one at a time when a person begins their journey up or down the stairs. The lights get deactivated as they progress. If you’re too busy to build it from scratch, you can buy a stair lights kit. The system uses a laser beam which signals an infrared transistor (the sensor), as the trigger to control the LEDs.
